Access Points (Remote) in the Office at Home
Another possibility to work securely at home is a so-called Remote Access Point (RAP) solution. A physical access point extends the network from the company to your employees’ office at home. This is simply plugged into the internet router at home. A secure connection to the company is established and its WLAN SSID is broadcast. Devices, such as notebooks and tablets, will connect to the WLAN and authenticate as if they were in the office – with all the appropriate security measures, just like in the corporate network. VoIP telephones or printers, for example, can also be connected to this RAP via cable.
